Evaluation: This book would exist good to use to read to a center or upper grades classroom about their scents. I know for upper grades, the children need to start wearing anti-perspirant in guild to avert smelling awful when coming back in from recess. I wouldn't want to go into as well much detail because I wouldn't desire to offend everyone who may worry nigh their smell.

Teaching Point: I would utilise this to read to a pocket-size group of students at a time. I wouldn't desire to read the book out in whole group and perhaps one educatee call some other student out for smelling like Gorgonzola. I would want to read in a small group setting and emphasize the importance of taking care of themselves and their bodies. I would then want to take the opportunity for students to be able to allow me know if they are without means to practice then.

Gorgonzola is a stinky dinosaur and no i can stand to be around him. Finally a bird tells him that he needs to improve his hygiene in order to take friends stick around. While the premise is ok (learning to accept salubrious hygiene routines and that there are consequences of not following them), I didn't like the delivery. Both of my kids noticed that the bird's language was "hateful". Nosotros talked nigh ways she could've handled the state of affairs without existence insulting. GOOD FOR: personal hygiene, parents/guardians help you out and have care of you lot

I personally institute this book very helpful for teaching my young son nearly personal hygiene. It is kind of sad because the dinosaur doesn't take parents, and then he doesn't accept anyone to teach him about taking care of himself. Then he meets a bird that helps him out. When I read this with my son he was probably three or 4.

Gorgonzola is a dinosaur who scares other dinos away not because of his sharp teeth or fierce roar, just considering of his stink. The story is slap-up, and the concept is super, only the bird who ends up helping the poor ostracized dinosaur is only plain rude to him. This is the kind of tone that I wouldn't want my child to imitate. A pupil read this book to me last week and I absolutely loved it. The dialogue in this book allows for some great function play, and encourages immature readers to practice some voice acting. I as well appreciated how Palatini addressed why the dinosaur had an olfactory property. Once my educatee understood why Gorgonzola struggled with skilful hygiene, they were very compassionate towards the character and were able to brand skilful connections. Overall, I recall this book is a great read aloud that encourages empathy and friendship.

Long, long agone, when dinosaurs ruled the land, there lived a dino who was the worst of them all: Gorgonzola.

Non really large, non really scary, Gorgonzola was known well-nigh and far for his . . . D.O. Yep, dinosaur odor. From horn to toe, Gorgonzola was 1 serious stinker. That is, until a bold picayune birdie decides it'southward high time to evidence this lather-challenged big boy only how to clean upward his human activity.

The illustrations in this story are bright and lively. There are many applications for a behavioral lesson from this text. The surface lesson is that hygenie matters! But you could too use this to talk with students about understanding why people behave certain ways (maybe they were never shown). You can also discuss the importance of being a practiced friend as baboon is by showing our friends how to behave and then that others will want to be around them.

A story nearly Gorgonzola, the dinosaur who "smells" (go it?) and has bad jiff. A bird tells him the truth and offers his help to solve Gorgonzola'southward problem. Birdie teaches him how to castor his teeth, gargle mouthwash, and have a bath. Later a trivial powder, Gorgonzola is declared "ex-stink." Grades Grand-four.

This is a practiced volume to read when a child is hesitant to accept bath or brush their teeth. This is about Gorgonzola who was a very stinky dinosaur. He thought everyone was scared of him, but they merely ran away from his stench. In the finish he becomes ex-stink.
